Fans of the crime drama MobLand are thrilled to learn that a second season has officially been approved.

The Paramount+ series stars Tom Hardy as Harry, a fixer entangled with the Harrigan crime family, headed by Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and Maeve (Helen Mirren). Directed by Guy Ritchie, who also executive produced, the show has received rave reviews, becoming a major hit for the streaming platform.

According to Deadline, the first season amassed 26 million views within 70 days of its March 30 debut, marking it as the second-largest launch for a Paramount Original series, trailing only behind the drama Landman.

The overwhelming success prompted Paramount’s Co-CEO Chris McCarthy to express excitement about the renewal: “We are thrilled to greenlight a second season of this global phenomenon, which has topped charts both domestically and internationally, even reaching #1 in the UK.”

Fans of the show expressed their joy following the announcement. One user on X (formerly Twitter) said, “Never had a doubt. This is a top-notch show,” while another celebrated with, “Best news of the day! My favorite show of the year. Can’t wait for season 2!”

Viewers were left on the edge of their seats in the season one finale when Harry was stabbed by his wife, Eddie’s true lineage was uncovered, and Conrad was lauded upon his return to prison. This tense conclusion had fans commenting on the news of a second season with excitement, with one saying, “I hope so, especially after that ending!” and another exclaiming, “Let’s go! That cliffhanger needs answers!”

Moreover, Pierce Brosnan recently shared insights about working with Guy Ritchie, mentioning how he encouraged him to embrace his Irish accent for the role: “Guy just said, ‘Go mad. Got it?’ That was it. Everyone jumped right in.”

Fans eagerly await what’s to come in Season 2!
