October 1, 20252 min read

Brady Ebert, the former guitarist of Turnstile, has launched a new band called The S.E.T. — catch the highlights from their debut performance below.

The band made their live debut on Saturday, September 27, at Zen West in Baltimore, where they opened for hardcore legends Death Threat. Clips from the concert quickly surfaced on Instagram and Reddit, showcasing Ebert in action with his new group.

The S.E.T. stands for “The Self Evident Truth,” and they are set to perform next at the Baltimore Soundstage on January 31, as part of the 2026 Disturbin’ the Peace festival, headlined by Hatebreed.

In 2022, Turnstile announced they were parting ways with Ebert after 12 years. In an Instagram story, the band expressed gratitude for their time together and wished him well in future endeavors.

Ebert was a founding member of Turnstile, which he started alongside vocalist Brendan Yates in 2010. The lineup was later expanded with Franz Lyons on bass and vocals, Daniel Fang on drums, and Sean Cullen on guitar, who was replaced by Pat McCrory in 2015. Ebert contributed to three studio albums: ‘Nonstop Feeling’ (2016), ‘Time & Space’ (2018), and ‘Glow On’ (2021).

Turnstile’s U.S. tour began on September 15 in Nashville, featuring a surprise duet of ‘Seein’ Stars’ with Hayley Williams of Paramore. They will continue touring throughout the autumn, supported by acts like SPEED, Jane Remover, Mannequin Pussy, Blood Orange, and Amyl & The Sniffers. Stay tuned for more about The S.E.T. as they continue to make waves in the hardcore scene!
