After a long hiatus, Ewan McGregor returns to the stage in the lead role of the new production My Master Builder. The play, set to be performed at Wyndham’s Theatre, is a contemporary adaptation inspired by Henrik Ibsen’s classic The Master Builder. Written by young American playwright Lila Raicek, this post-#MeToo drama presents a powerful tale of confrontation.
Directed by Michael Grandage, McGregor plays a successful American architect whose seemingly peaceful life is shaken by the unexpected visit of a young woman (Elizabeth Debicki), once his student. The cast also includes Kate Fleetwood as the architect’s wife. My Master Builder will be running from April 17 to July 12, 2025.
