Second Half Productions, in partnership with Nica Burns and Paines Plough, proudly presents the West End premiere of Every Brilliant Thing, the highly acclaimed one-person play by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe. Directed by Jeremy Herrin and Macmillan, the show will take the stage at @sohoplace theatre from August 1 to September 27, 2025, featuring a remarkable lineup of performers, including Lenny Henry, Jonny Donahoe, Ambika Mod, and Sue Perkins.
Originally debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014, Every Brilliant Thing has captivated audiences across over 80 countries and was even adapted into an HBO special. This marks the poignant and uplifting story’s first-ever appearance in the West End. Each actor will give a solo performance, lending their unique voice to this heartfelt narrative about mental health, hope, and the small joys that make life worthwhile.
The run will kick off with Sir Lenny Henry (August 1–30), followed by co-creator Jonny Donahoe (August 13–September 1), Ambika Mod (September 2–26), and will conclude with Sue Perkins (September 4–27). Press nights are set for each performer, beginning with Henry on August 7.
The production features set design by Vicki Mortimer, lighting by Jack Knowles, sound by Tom Gibbons, and casting by Jessica Ronane CDG. Tickets are available now via sohoplace.org, with 50 tickets per performance priced at just £35.
