Stephen King’s dystopian thriller The Running Man hits theaters on November 7, 2025!
Director Edgar Wright has announced the completion of filming for the adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. Starring Glen Powell, the film delivers a dark action story set in a dystopian future, centered on a deadly television game show. In a social media post, Wright shared, “I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been working on… More to come soon!” signaling that the film’s promotional campaign will kick off shortly.
Penned by Michael Bacall, this adaptation promises a more faithful take on the novel compared to the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger-led version. Joining Powell are Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo, Lee Pace, Katy O’Brian, Michael Cera, and William H. Macy. The film is set to premiere in theaters on November 7, 2025.
