Cast Announced for The Hunger Games: On Stage

The exciting stage adaptation of Suzanne Collins’s global hit, The Hunger Games, has officially revealed its cast ahead of its world premiere. Set to commence performances on Monday, October 20, at the newly opened Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, this production will immerse audiences in a captivating 1,200-seat theatre-in-the-round.

Mia Carragher will take on the iconic role of Katniss Everdeen, supported by Euan Garrett as Peeta Mellark and Tristan Waterson as Gale Hawthorne. The talented ensemble also includes Joshua Lacey as Haymitch Abernathy, Tamsin Carroll as Effie Trinket, and Stavros Demetraki as Caesar Flickerman. Rounding out the main cast are Nathan Ives-Moiba as Cinna and the Mayor, Sophia Ally as Prim Everdeen, and Ruth Everett as Mrs. Everdeen.

Adding to the excitement is a remarkable ensemble of 21 additional performers, which includes several Tributes, promising a visually stunning and immersive theatrical experience.

This ambitious production is adapted by the renowned playwright Conor McPherson (Girl from the North Country) and directed by the acclaimed Matthew Dunster (2:22 – A Ghost Story). With a top-notch creative team featuring set designer Miriam Buether and lighting designer Lucy Carter, the show aims to transport audiences straight into the core of the action with cutting-edge design and effects.
