Bolshoi Ballet and Orchestra Present “Romeo and Juliet” at Türkiye Culture Road Festival!
As part of the Türkiye Culture Road Festival 2025, the world-renowned Bolshoi Ballet and Orchestra are set to captivate audiences in Istanbul! This mesmerizing performance will take place on September 26–27, 2025, at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) Türk Telekom Opera Hall.
“Romeo and Juliet”: A Dance of Love and Tragedy
Featuring Sergey Prokofiev’s music and Leonid Lavrovsky’s choreography, Romeo and Juliet, first performed in 1940, will be a highlight of the festival. Lavrovsky drew inspiration from Verona chronicles, medieval love stories, and historical dance traditions to bring this work to life. The Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, Russia’s oldest and globally acclaimed symphony orchestra, will accompany both productions. Presented by Art Seasons, this tour will bring a massive crew of approximately 350 people, including dancers, orchestra members, and technical staff, to Istanbul.
