In a delightful turn of events, Rod Stewart, who attended the ceremony with five of his children, was surprised to receive the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. After closing the show with his classic “Forever Young,” he expressed his astonishment: “I am absolutely flabbergasted. When I started singing in the early ’60s, my sole ambition was to sing. I didn’t care about being rich or famous, and here I am all these years later.”
