The Tanz im August festival invites audiences to a hypnotic world where dance and sound installation converge with artist J Neve Harrington’s captivating work, Screensaver Series: Sleeper Softwares, from August 27-29. Born from the artist’s explorations of play and relational structures, the piece evokes a vibrant screensaver.
Harrington’s artistic practice centers on themes of accessibility, attention processes, and neurodiversity. Sleeper Softwares draws inspiration from ever-moving screensaver programs, exploring motion and stillness. The dancers create fleeting images tied to themes of nature, transformation, and care, offering viewers a visual feast.
The work has been specially adapted for a Relaxed Performance on August 28, allowing audiences to experience the piece in their own comfort zones, accommodating diverse sensory needs.
