The Donmar Warehouse, currently basking in acclaim for its revival of Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel, has unveiled an exciting and ambitious lineup for the Autumn 2025/26 season. Artistic Director Tim Sheader and Executive Director Henny Finch introduced three captivating productions, including two world premieres that promise to deliver a rich and thought-provoking theatrical journey.
Kicking off the season is the world premiere of Mike Bartlett’s Juniper Blood, set to run from August 16 to October 4. Directed by the renowned James Macdonald, this new play examines the true cost of idealism in an imperfect world. The production features an outstanding cast, including Terique Jarrett, Hattie Morahan, Nadia Parkes, Jonathan Slinger, and Sam Troughton.
Next, the Donmar will present another world premiere: Kip Williams’ daring new translation and direction of Jean Genet’s The Maids. Opening on October 13 and running until November 29, Williams makes his Donmar debut after his Olivier and Tony Award-winning reimagining of The Picture of Dorian Gray. This production promises to be a thrilling exploration of identity and obsessive desire.
The season will conclude with a major revival of J.B. Priestley’s cherished comedy, When We Are Married, helmed by Artistic Director Tim Sheader. Running from December 6 to February 7, 2026, this play features a star-studded ensemble, including Siobhan Finneran, Samantha Spiro, Sophie Thompson, and Marc Wootton, offering a joyful and insightful look into long-buried truths within relationships.
Sheader and Finch underscored the Donmar’s dedication to accessibility, announcing that thousands of £20 tickets will be available for attendees aged 35 and under across all three productions. They also highlighted the Donmar LOCAL program, which engages 6,000 local young people and collaborates with 95% of secondary state schools in Camden and Westminster, creating new avenues into the industry.
Priority booking for Donmar supporters opens Thursday, July 10, with public booking starting Friday, July 18. This exciting season reinforces the Donmar Warehouse’s status as a pivotal venue for innovative theatre in London.
